Glyn Spencer Hopkins

I founded Internet Affected in 2010 having worked for UNICEF and in digital marketing and communications roles for over 20 years.



I began search engine optimization (SEO) in 1999 when it was all about link building and involved targeting hundreds of search engines, instead of just the few needed today. I worked on the technical side, analyzing search engines and hand-coding pages to rank on the first page. I spent three years working for two of London’s leading web-marketing agencies before life threw me a surprise.

At that time, I had no plans to move overseas but when I met my wife in London things took a different turn and I ended up moving to the beautiful city of Florence in Italy. I now have two children and can firmly call this city my home.



My clients expect me to speak candidly and with frankness about their business, and how they can improve it online. With my past experience I am able to give them jargon free advice on how to maximize their online presence. Having worked in this sector for many years I have a tight team and well-established partners so am able to give an end-to-end service, while at the same time being able to maintain the feel of a small one-to-one relationship.

Very little as I have two boys and spend my time in a basketball court or trying to recover from these great weekends. I also enjoy looking out for watches for my collection.

Design & Branding

Sam is our head designer with over 20 years’ experience. He manages all aspects of the design process and is able to quickly mock-up and deliver branded collateral to a high standard.

A true visual communicator able to deliver consistent and coherent design projects whether it’s a popup, banner or full brand-identity, no design task is too much of a challenge.

Free time

Sam has completed seven marathons on three different continents including the Six World Majors (best time 2:55.39) and therefore has perfect levels of stamina for digital.

Camilla Gianni
Keyword Research & Content Outreach

A classically trained dancer by profession Camilla provides us with support for a range of tasks including deep-dive keyword research and content outreach.

She helps keep our writer roster up to date while vetting new writers that can support the content outreach campaigns, we develop for our clients each month.
